• In 2000 Mark was offered an opportunity
to work with James Gucwa. James had established himself as a New
Realist showing in blue chip galleries in New York and California.
Mark had completed a Bachelor of Fine Art in 1999 but felt he
could not be complete as an Artist until he trained under a master
painter. James had studied under the famous Realist Artist Gregory
Gillespie and was willing to pass on the techniques he had learnt.
Mark describes the opportunity as a privilege and hopes in this
manner the knowledge and skills built up over many generations
can live on. Mark desires to use the skills he learnt to advance
realistic Art.
